Welfare Square Cannery Service Opportunities

Cannery at Welfare Square.  The Holladay North Stake is the agent Stake for the Cannery at Welfare Square and consequently the Stake places a high priority on ensuring that the service needs of the cannery are met.  A total of 68 stakes contribute to the volunteer help needs of the cannery. 

In addition to the routine volunteer assignments distributed among the 68 Stakes, the cannery has needs for more regular "week to week" workers or Senior Service Missionaries to to fill regular weekly shifts--either on the production floor or at the front desk.  Please contact Larry Coulton at 385-321-7419 to learn of weekly shift needs at the cannery.

Did you know that the Salt Lake Cannery has had production levels at over 3,000,000 bottles per year?

In recent times approximately 60% of the output of the Salt Lake Cannery has benefited food banks nationwide and about 40% of the output goes to Bishops' Storehouses.  If you have an assignment to serve at the cannery it's entirely appropriate to invite a neighbor to serve with you!
